A lot of times when you think of the Magic Kingdom you imagine toddlers running around in princess dresses. However, the Magic Kingdom has something for everyone whether you believe in fairies or not.

Two of my favorite roller coasters are here. No they don’t have huge drops that make you scream, but what the do have no other ride compares. The atmosphere of not only the rides, but the line cues themselves. Space Mountain is set in space as you ride in your rocketship through outerspace at lightspeed. The other is Big Thunder Railroad, hang on tight as you find yourself on a runaway mine train. Don’t shut your eyes as you zip through the tight turns or you may miss some of the animals greeting you in clever ways.

Then there are the classic rides like The Haunted Mansion and Pirates of the Carribean. Each will have you sitting in amazement as you make your way through the scenes. You may even find yourself singing along with the characters. Keep your eyes out for Jack Sparrow!

Not only are there fantastic rides, but the shows are extraordinary. From the Barber Quartet strolling along Main Street to the Pirates in Adventureland, even if you are not a fan of rides, you could spend a day taking in the sights, sounds and magic. One of my favorite things to do is buy an ice cream then set sail down the river on an authentic steam boat.

As the sun goes down, pull up on a park bench along Main Street and stay tuned for an amazing fireworks display over the castle that will take you to another place where dreams come true. Set to toe tapping music, this is one of the most spectacular firework shows you will ever see.
